| 尼姆•雅尔维（1937-），爱沙尼亚裔美籍著名指挥家。曾任英国皇家苏格兰国家交响乐团首席指挥（1984-1988）、美国底特律交响乐团音乐总监（1990-2005）以及美国新泽西交响乐团音乐指导（2005-2009）。现任瑞士罗曼德管弦乐团音乐指导。 雅尔维的指挥仍然具备前苏联智慧的特点：激情洋溢，热力四射，速度、力度、幅度的对比强烈。但他帮下音乐的色彩还鲜明而富于变化，尤其在指挥前苏联音乐家的交响乐和芭蕾舞剧之时体现地十分明显。 至今为止，雅尔维已录制了近三百五十张CD，其中大多数是在CHANDOS旗下与苏格兰管弦乐团和歌德堡交 响乐团合作的结晶。他指挥录制的普罗科菲耶夫交响曲全集、里姆斯基一科萨科夫的六部歌剧组曲、拉赫玛尼诺夫的交响合唱《钟声》，受到广泛的好评。普罗科菲耶夫的《第六交响曲》，图宾的《第三交响曲》、《第八交响曲》还分别荣获《留声机》（Gramophone）唱片大奖1985年最佳管弦乐奖、1989年最佳工程与制作奖；肖斯塔科维奇的两首小提琴协奏曲也荣膺《留声机》1990年最佳协奏曲奖。 |
